A bit of housekeeping...

A few months back there was some conversation here on the list about me doing a weekly video series called “Relaunching Me”. The idea was to publish a screencast each week as I went through each of about 30 revisions to my aging website to bring it inline with the advice I give here.

I took a bunch of preliminary steps toward making this a reality:

Created an outline for 30 weeks of content
Published a sample video
Did some pricing research interviews
Experimented with hosting options
Paid for a year of Vimeo Pro
Bought an HD camera for my laptop

After about three weeks of preparations, I came to a realization:

I despise working with video.

Staging, recording, editing, exporting, uploading, and hosting video make me want to fling myself into a volcano.

So...

There will be no weekly video series. Not now. Not ever.

Instead, I’m going to double down on stuff that comes naturally, like:

Writing (mailing list, books)
Podcasting (Ditching Hourly, Freelancers Show, guest spots)
Webcasting (Crowdcast)
Coaching Calls (one-off, monthly)
Office Hours (TBA)

My apologies if you were looking forward to the weekly Relaunching Me video series. But don’t worry, I’m sure the content I planned for RM will find its way out in some form through the other channels listed above.
