How To Make A Million Dollars

When people first join my mailing list, I ask them what success would look like for their business.

A high percentage of answers include some mention of making a specific amount of money.

For example:

“A home run for me would be a million dollars a year in revenue.”

To which I usually reply with something like:

“That’s great! I love the specificity. Question: How could you create TEN million dollars of value? If you can do that, you’d only need to capture ten percent to make a million.”

Here’s the thing...

Value pricing allows you to work backwards from your REVENUE GENERATION goals to set VALUE CREATION goals.

The benefit of having a value creation goal is that it’s a lot easier to answer the question:

“How could I create ten million dollars of value for clients?”

...than it is to answer the question:

“How do I make a million dollars?"
