Famous Ingredients

Thank you to everyone who replied to yesterday’s message to let me know that they, in fact, knew what phenylephrine was, and that they actively avoid medications that contain it because the FDA has found that it doesn’t actually work.

Yes, it is true that ingredients sometimes become famous (or infamous) and even can make their way to the front label.

For example...

Famous Ingredients:

Intel Inside
Powered by AWS
Sweetened with Stevia

Infamous Ingredients:

Gluten Free
Non-GMO
BPA-free

It’s good to be aware of situations like these and potentially capitalize on “ingredient awareness.”

But in my experience, clients who are shopping based on your “ingredients” don’t usually make great clients.
