People don’t buy things they don’t want

Here are two statements that are both true:

  1. People need things
  2. People want things

The list of things that people NEED and the list of things that people WANT don’t always have a lot of overlap.

For example, I NEED to replace the tile in my bathroom shower, but I don’t WANT to so I have been putting it off for more than a year.

Okay, so...

Why does this matter?

This matters because people don’t buy stuff they don’t want.

So ask yourself...

Do you sell something that you THINK people NEED?

Or do you sell something that you KNOW people WANT?
