Success story from reader Mark Treichel
Fellow list member Mark Treichel launched his first podcast a few months ago and is already reaping the rewards (shared with permission, lightly edited for clarity):
Hey Jonathan, I signed up for your 5 Day Podcast Challenge in Dec/Jan and launched my podcast mid January. You helped me many ways including assisting with a great name (With Flying Colors). After 3 plus months I have exceeded 1,000 downloads and it also brought me one very profitable client already.
If you are building an authority-based biz, you want your ideal buyers to hear your voice as often as possible.
How could you do this?
You could fly around to speak at conferences, or start a Youtube channel, or pop up on Clubhouse on a regular basis, or do Instagram Stories every day, or a million other things.
But for me, hosting a podcast delivers the best bang for the buck.
Why?
Because you can produce an audio podcast from your home, in your jammies, and make it available globally, essentially for free.
People often imagine that producing a podcast is hard, but it really doesn’t have to be.
If you can run a Zoom call, you can host a podcast.
