Captain’s log, stardate 20220112
When setting annual goals for your business, it’s quite common for people to jump straight to defining their desired annual revenue.
And this makes sense... It’s a business after all, so how much money you want it to generate is a reasonable consideration.
But in absence of other goals, things can go off the rails.
Q: Would you rather make $500k this year or $5M?
I would guess that most people would probably pick the latter ;-)
But what if the question was:
Q: Would you rather make $500k this year working 8 hours per week, or $5M working 80 hours per week?
I’m quite sure the distribution of people who chose the $5M option would be a lot lower.
P.S. Are you sick of putting out fires all week? I created the 10-Day Systems Challenge to help you increase your productivity and streamline your business.
The challenge consists of ten exercises, one sent every weekday for two weeks. Each exercise will move you closer to systematizing parts of your business in order to decrease your labor and increase your results.
The challenge starts THIS COMING MONDAY, so add your name to the invite list now before you forget!
