Promise Less

If people aren’t buying your stuff, it might be because the results you’re promising seem too dramatic to your prospective buyers.

One solution?

Promise less.

For example...

Which of the following headlines would you be more inclined to believe?

  1. “This workshop will increase your income by 10x!”
  2. “This workshop will increase your income by 10%!”

10x is a much nicer result, but if it’s not realistic in the mind of the buyer, they won’t purchase at any price.

Here’s the thing...

You might find that promising less will help you to sell more because it increases the credibility of your claim.

Yours,

—J
