You know what your skills are.
For example, maybe you build APIs with Rails, or optimize MySQL performance, or design iOS apps.
Or maybe you write sales copy, or take architectural photos, or manage PPC ad campaigns.
But do you know why your clients pay you?
If you think they pay you for features or code or speed or animation or words or images or campaigns… you’re wrong. They don’t want 10,000 lines of code, or 10,000 words, or 10,000 images, or whatever the deliverables of your discipline are.
Clients pay you because they want the business outcomes that they believe your deliverables will achieve for them.
So… what are the business outcomes that your clients want?
Once you know, your marketing will make a quantum leap forward. You can start talking about the business results that you deliver instead of the activities that you engage in.
