Better requires change

You can’t make things better without changing something. And sometimes, the thing that needs to change is so familiar that it has become invisible, or seems so huge that it is paralyzing.

So... it’s not uncommon for me to chat with someone who wants to make their business better, but doesn’t want to change the things that seem to be holding them back.

Things like pivoting the focus of the business, or killing a major objective, or doubling down on a single service, or ending client relationships that have become unprofitable, or firing a toxic employee who is destroying team morale, or going back in-house to fund a new side-hustle, etc etc etc...

Change is scary. But it’s not as scary as the alternative.
