Worrying vs Planning

Years ago, I started building a list of my favorite quotes.

Of all the quotes on my list, the one that I have shared most is this one:

“Worry is a misuse of imagination.” –Dan Zadra

When you find yourself catastrophizing about some future possibility, try this:

  1. Make a short list of possible outcomes
  2. Make contingency plans for each outcome
  3. Think about something else

Worrying endlessly about something you have no control over is bad for your health.

Better to focus your energy on something you can control.
