Taking Control

An infinitesimally small percentage of things in this world are under your control.

Pretty much the only thing on Earth you can control is your own behavior.

So...

If you’re not getting what you want, check your behavior.

And if you find that you’re not controlling that, then it should come as no surprise that you’re not getting what you want.
