100% Billable
If you bill for your time, you probably spend your pretty close to 100% of business hours doing client work.
In fact, being 100% billable is the goal.
Why?
Because the more hours you spend doing client work, the more you get paid.
That’s just the way the financial incentive works with hourly billing.
Note what hourly billing DOESN’T incentivize:
- Working smarter
- Getting more efficient
- Being more effective
Here’s the thing...
It’s no mystery why folks who bill hourly never spend time working ON their business.
Anything they do to improve would decrease their income.
Who would sign up for that?
