Success story from reader Dr Genevieve Hayes
Fellow list member Dr Genevieve Hayes wrote in to share her excitement about finally launching her first podcast (shared with permission):
Hi Jonathan,
I hope you are well. I just wanted to give you an update on the podcast that I created as a result of taking your 5-Day Podcast Challenge course.
Last Friday, I launched the first episode of Value Driven Data Science, which you can find here:
https://www.genevievehayes.com/episodes/
I also have three more episodes in various states of production, which will be uploaded over the next two months. Producing a podcast is something that I have always wanted to do, but never thought possible and I am still astounded that this is something I managed to achieve.
Thank you so much for creating the 5-Day Podcast Challenge. Without it, I would never have even considered producing a podcast, much less gotten this far. I can’t wait to see where this podcast goes in the future.
All the best in your own business and podcast,
Genevieve.
If you have a sec, listen to the first few minutes of Genevieve’s show and notice...
- Notice how easy it is to tell whether you think you’d “click” with her (or not) if you had the opportunity to meet at a conference or other event
- Notice how long it takes for your trust in her expertise to go from zero to non-zero, even if you don’t understand the subject matter
- Notice if you have a Rolodex Moment and think of someone you should tell about Genevieve or the show
Here’s the thing...
Writing is super important, but...
Sharing your voice - your ACTUAL voice, not just your words in text format - is a powerful trust builder.
It’s wired directly into the deepest parts of our brains.
If you’re a consultant and aren’t regularly sharing your actual voice, there are probably a bunch of people who you could help who just don’t realize (or believe) it.
I mean...
What would it do for your business if every lead you got trusted you implicitly before you even met them?
Yours,
—J
