Web3?
This message is a bit out of left field, so feel free to ignore if you’re not interested.
For the past few months, I’ve been researching what’s going on in the crypto / NFT / smart contracts / web3 space.
Why?
It’s the perfect intersection of the three major threads of my life:
- Art - I started playing guitar in the mid-80s and graduated from Berklee
- Code - I wrote my first program in 1983, and spent my 30s and most of my 40s coding full time
- Value - I’ve been practicing and teaching value pricing for 15+ years
I’ve spent a lot of time asking dumb questions on cryptotwitter, which has been... interesting to say the least.
Eventually, I met a very helpful crypto expert named Luke Willis. Luke had me on his crypto podcast this week to discuss the opportunities created by blockchain technology, how to think about value, running businesses in a decentralized environment, and more.
If you’re interested in what a gray haired Web 1.0 hippie is thinking about what’s going on, you can listen here:
If you like it, I’m sure Luke would love to hear from you on Twitter.
Yours,
