What to do when things get slow
After yesterday’s group coaching session, one of the students asked for a written list of things to do when business slows down and you have free time to do something other than client work.
Here’s what I shared:
- Start a newsletter
- Launch an email course
- Book a podcast tour
- Launch a podcast
- Create a lead magnet
- Drop some answer bombs
- Submit a talk to a conference
- Build a video course
- Host a webinar
- Start a YouTube channel
- Do an AMA on Reddit
- etc etc etc
Of course, these are all just tactics. If you don’t understand your own value proposition, probably none of these would have a meaningful impact on your business or the businesses of the people you’d like to help. Step one is to figure out who has a pain that you can alleviate.
