Long-time reader and friend of the list Jonathan Fletcher sent in a sidesplittingly hilarious article written by Dave Barry that relates to my recent plumbing-centric stories:

DAVE BARRY: Toilet testers are striving to come out, well, No. 2

Aside from the humor of the article, it’s worth reading to think about the downstream (literally!) effects and potential value of understanding water usage at scale. i.e., Unclogging toilets in the lab is way WAY more valuable than unclogging them in someone’s house.

(It’s also a good example of the power of specialization, but that’s a story for another day. Maybe Philip Morgan will read this and write about it on his list. After all, I did promise no more potty talk for a while!)
