Answers from yesterday...
What a fascinating range of answers y’all sent in answer to my question from yesterday. In case you missed it:
Do you think it’s fair for someone to charge you more for a product than they charge other people?
Answers ran the gamut from the single word “No” to the single word “Yes” with everything in between.
Some folks said that it depends on the nature of the product or the size of the price discrepancy (e.g., “I’d be fine paying a little more, but not 10x”).
Some folks rejected the premise of the question (e.g., “There’s no such thing as a ’fair’ price”)
Some folks said that offering different prices to different people for the same product is unfair, but different prices for the same service is fine (e.g., because there’s no such thing as “the same service”).
Here’s a follow up question (especially for people in the “no” camp):
Do you think it’s fair for someone to charge you LESS for a product than they charge other people?
Yours,
