There’s a fresh video posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 12 weeks. Each video will describe a single concept, prompt you to do a simple exercise, and discuss your findings in a dedicated Slack channel
You’re in luck! Each lesson is released with an interactive transcript that you can just read, or read along to an audio track. The audio tracks are also available as a private podcast feed that you can listen to while driving, walking the dog, doing the dishes, etc.
You will get a notification from Slack each time a new video goes live. One of the reasons I chose Slack for The Pricing Seminar was its fine-grained control over notifications. You are encouraged to install the native Slack app on your phone and configure the notification settings to your liking.
Once the session is in progress, you can go at your own pace. The experience is designed to keep you engaged with the content, but it's fine if you don't keep right up to date with the latest release. The content and community discussion will be available for an additional 12 weeks after the last video is posted.
I selected Slack because it is very user friendly but it can be a little overwhelming at first for people who have never used it. Because of this, there is a dedicated area inside of the community where you can go to get technical assistance. Historically, it has only taken a few minutes for brand new Slackers to find their way around.
Yes. During the first four weeks of the seminar, participate in at least ten discussions. Watch the videos, respond to posts and consistently post your own work. If you don’t think the Seminar is worth more than what you invested, drop me a note at guarantee@jonathanstark.com by the end of that first month and I’ll give you a full refund.
Yes, the video content and discussion community will be available for 12 weeks after the last lesson is published. Also, the videos are easily downloadable so you can view them at any time in the future. After a total of 24 weeks, the Slack room will be shut down.
We will skip the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas if your session of TPS happens to coincide with either of those. You are welcome to engage in the Slack room during these weeks but lessons will not be released.
Yes, you can fully participate from your phone or tablet. In order to minimize the dropout rate that is common to online learning experiences, I have taken pains to make the seminar easy to access and participate in from anywhere on any device.
Naturally, it’s fine for you to share what you learn (e.g., breakthroughs, insights, concepts) with your team.
But if you want your team members to view the videos or to see the discussion threads in Slack, I would request that they sign up and participate in the seminar.
For everyone’s convenience, I have not put the lessons behind a login. I have also made it easy to download the videos because quite a few people are on slow / expensive internet connections that make streaming prohibitive.
I recognize that this leaves me vulnerable to piracy and theft, but that’s a risk that I’m willing to take. I trust that people will do the right thing.
No problem! Just shoot me an email at jstark@jonathanstark.com and I’ll be happy to answer personally.
