Better how?
Yesterday’s Ditcherville comic questioned the assertion that “humans are always better” compared to AI, bots, and automation.
When I hear the word ”better”, it sets off alarm bells.
Why?
Because better for Alice is not necessarily better for Bob.
Better is too open to interpretation to be meaningful.
When “better” crops up in conversation, get more specific:
- Better in what way?
- Better for whom?
- Better in what circumstances?
Everything has trade-offs.
Nothing is universally “better” across all contexts for all people.
Yours,
