Stop spinning in circles
Had a coaching call today with a student stuck in the classic “I help everyone” tactics spiral.
She was “targeting” a half dozen markets.
Each had different problems and different budgets and different working styles.
By the end of the call, we picked one target market.
The obvious (to me) one.
Why was it obvious?
- She had plenty of experience with them
- They could easily afford the services she wanted to sell
- They were the most fun to work with (i.e., not micromanagers)
Her words:
“I feel way more clear now. I’ve been spinning in circles trying to talk to everyone, and that’s not getting me anywhere. This is good.”
Trying to appeal to everyone creates confusion... for you and your ideal buyers.
Specialize.
Everything gets easier.
Yours,
