Putting In More Time
Social media is a great place to get caught up in hustle culture.
Here’s a typical example:
“My life changed when I realized that people who were more successful than me were also putting in more time than me.”
Call me crazy, but I just don’t buy into this “grind your way to success” line of thinking.
It’s correlation not causation.
You could replace “putting in more time” with true statements that have nothing to do with their success, like:
- “eating more hard cheese”
- “doing more hot yoga”
- “posting more unsubstantiated claims on social media”
Here’s the thing...
The surest path to financial success that I know of is to create loads of value for lots of people.
This doesn’t require long hours of grinding.
It requires ingenuity, empathy, and patience.
