When you look at a factory, do you see any creativity?
It’s everywhere but if you look too closely, you might miss it.
The operation of the machinery is, almost by definition, not creative.
The factory itself is the creativity.
Designing the factory IS a creative act.
Building the factory IS a creative act.
Improving the factory IS a creative act.
Working in the factory is NOT a creative act.
The word factory might hold a negative connotation in your mind, but I’m only using it here as a metaphor.
You’re not going to build a literal factory.
But I hope you ARE enjoying the creative act of designing procedures and systems and automation to help you deliver more value to your clients faster and with less effort.
Assuming you’re not trading time for money, doing so is better for everyone involved.
