Ditching Hourly for Independent Firms at MYOB

The lovely and talented David C. Baker invited me to speak at the 2022 MYOB Conference in Atlanta to give independent firm owners 3 ways to increase their profitability by transitioning away from hourly billing.

Here’s the description from the conference website:

Hourly billing metastasizes to every area of an expertise-based service business: company culture, service design, employee incentives, and more. If you recognize that hourly billing is killing your firm but don’t know how to eradicate it, this session will give you strategies to get on the road to recovery.

Attendance was good and folks asked a bunch of excellent questions, so it seems like the material was of interest - and hopefully - useful.

I’m considering presenting an encore presentation as a webinar for people who couldn’t make it to the live event.
