Onward
One of the big reasons I like email better than blogging is that there’s no undo. Once a message is sent, that’s it. I can’t fiddle around with it after it’s left my outbox.
I see this is a feature not a bug. And it extends to lots of other aspects of business.
Whether you’re sending an email message to your list or presenting a webinar to a live audience or conducting a sales interview with a prospective client, you’re not going to get it right every time.
And that’s fine! There’s no reason to beat yourself up over a flawed performance. Everything is practice for the next time.
When you do fall short, identify what you did wrong, and focus on doing it better in the future. There’s no use stressing out about something you can’t undo.
Yours,
—J
