“Okay... I was wrong.”

CEO-turned-CFO and finance instructor (and Ditching Hourly guest!), Lauren Pearl, runs a fantastically well-written and insightful newsletter that you should definitely check out.

Her post from today (subject: “Okay... I was wrong.”) really caught my attention.

She provided a super interesting take on how the pace of change is making her trust AI more for things that she has lots of experience with and less for things where she doesn’t.

This might sound counterintuitive, but it maps to my experience, which I’d summarize thusly:

“AI is only useful if you can quickly and easily validate its output.”

In other words...

It’s good at doing grunt work for experts, not expert work for novices.

Proceed accordingly.
