Monthly is not a time-based model

In a business context, if you sell a client an hour, it’s obvious that they’ll expect to get an hour.

If you sell a client a day, it’s obvious that they’ll expect to get eight hours.

If you sell a client a week, it’s obvious that they’ll expect to get forty hours.

But if you sell a client a month, it’s NOT obvious how many hours they’ll expect to get.

Here’s the thing...

Selling an advisory retainer or an AYCE subscription service or a fractional executive engagement on a monthly basis might SEEM like it’s a time-based model, but in practice, it never is.
