Knowledge vs Understanding

Knowledge is memorizing the words that others have used to describe their experience.

Understanding is connecting your experience to the words that others have used to describe theirs.

Here’s the thing...

Knowledge is a great place to start.

It’s cheap and easy and safe.

But the real value is unlocked when your knowledge becomes understanding.

How do you make this happen?

By having an experience that aligns with the words you’ve memorized from others.

That’s the light bulb moment.

Yours,

—J
