Throw your own party
Some really smart people in my space recently made a horrible tactical error by inviting me to participate in a “group chat braintrust roundtable” sort of thing.
It was immediately obvious that this was going to be a game-changing experience for all of our businesses, because right away I was getting great insights from them, and they were getting hilarious dad jokes from me.
Here’s the thing...
Just over a decade ago, another smart person foolishly invited me to participate in a “group chat braintrust roundtable” sort of thing that had life-altering benefits for most everyone involved. I suspect the same will be true of this new group.
My meta observations:
- Anyone can start a group like this
- Groups like this can be transformative
- Once every ten years is probably not frequent enough
