Vague Questions

If someone asks a really vague question, it’s hard to do any better than to give a really vague answer.

For example, if someone asked me:

“How do I double my revenue?”

I might reply:

“Sell twice as much.”

Even if this answer is technically correct, it’s uselessly vague because the asker still doesn’t know what to actually do.

Here’s the thing...

If you need a specific answer, try hard to clarify your question in your own mind before asking.

BONUS: Sometimes doing this will lead to you answering it yourself.
